PRE-APPOINTMENT

pre-appointment.png

For best results, please adhere to the following recommendations:

  • Do not consume caffeine, alcohol or blood thinners (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin, fish/primrose oil) 48 hours before your procedure to avoid excess bleeding.

Please avoid the following facial procedures 3 to 4 weeks before:

  • Chemical peels (Glycolic, Pumpkin, Alpha Hydroxy, Salicylic Acid)

  • Botox and fillers

  • Laser Facials (both ablative and non-ablative) including Fraxel, Co2, and IPL laser treatments

  • Any exfoliation and retinol product

  • Complete the following cosmetic procedures prior to your brow tattoo:

o   Brow waxing/shaping (2 days in advance)

o   Brow tinting (1 week in advance)

Please avoid sun/ tanning bed exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. Please note that a tan or sunburn can cause your skin to exfoliate, and therefore it will also take the tattoo pigment. To take caution, we highly suggest avoiding high exposure of sun/ tanning beds in order to avoid these results. If you arrive with signs of sun exposure, we will unfortunately have to reschedule your appointment and you will forfeit your deposit.

appointment day

On your appointment day, we want to suggest a few things so that you can come prepared to be as relaxed as possible for the duration of your cosmetic tattoo.

  • We encourage you to eat a light snack 30 minutes before your arrival

  • Wear comfortable clothing that you can sit and lay down in for an extended period of time

Here’s what to expect from your experience upon arrival:

  • Consultation (30 min): During this time, you will meet with the artist and create a plan for your tattoo. Please bring photos of tattoo examples that are similar to the look you’re hoping for or send them to us prior to your arrival. As artists, we will work with you to design your custom cosmetic tattoo to highlight your natural features. Our goal is to not only include the shape outline, but also create pre hand-drawn hair stroke for you to visualize. From there, we choose a pigment match based on your skin tone and hair color. We’ll also discuss care and healing during this time.

  • Numbing (30 min): Prior to the procedure, we will apply a topical anesthetic (5% lidocaine ointment). We also layer an additional numbing agent during the tattooing in order to assist any paint and maintain your comfort.

  • Tattooing (Duration dependant on service): Your tattoo artist will carefully embed pigment to create the appearance of natural hair or lip colour within the designed shape of your approval.
